Dial 2-1-1

Provides callers with information about (or referrals for) human services. Both for everyday needs and in times of crisis.

Description: 2-1-1 is a free, confidential, multilingual service that refers callers to non-emergency health and human services.   2-1-1 employs trained information and referral specialist who assist individuals and families that are seeking answers regarding community services in times of need.

Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline

Description: The hotline serves as a direct, immediate and efficient route to the counties which are responsible for accepting and responding to child abuse and neglect inquiries and reports. All hotline calls will be routed to the county where a child resides.

Our food assistance navigators provide helpful and thorough referrals based on each caller’s need. They not only answer questions but also ensure that callers receive needed information—from directions to applying for public health nutrition programs.

National Domestic Violence Hotline

Description: 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse.

Contacts to The Hotline can expect highly-trained, expert advocates to offer free, confidential, and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages.

Description: Family Tree works alongside people affected by child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness throughout their journey to safety and economic independence, providing emergency residential services, case management and advocacy, therapeutic services, outreach support, housing search and placement, education and employment support, among many other services. By leveraging a deeper, broader, and more holistic array of life-changing services and programs, Family Tree empowers individuals and families to discover their own strengths to create lasting, positive change.

Gateway Women's Shelter

Description: Gateway offers counseling, residential care and court advocacy services for domestic violence victims in Arapahoe County, Colorado. Our mission is to prevent and eliminate partner violence and to empower people for social transformation.

We receive more than 9,000 crisis calls a year, provide 10,000+ nights of residential care for families and their pets.
We assist with 2,000+ court advocacy cases for domestic violence victims.

Project Safeguard

Description: Project Safeguard, founded in 1981 and incorporated in 1984, is a non-profit organization committed to helping end domestic violence by holding society responsible for developing, implementing and enforcing sanctions against abusers while increasing safety and survival options for victims of abuse and their children. Project Safeguard is dedicated to providing safety planning, legal advocacy, and direct court support to victims of domestic violence and abuse, ensuring their safety and survival.

Project Safeguard’s goal is to aid victims through advocacy and assistance in navigating the court system, court accompaniment, and other services; while also holding systems and society accountable for their response. We provide direct services while also striving to create social change for domestic violence victims.

Direct Court Support: 

We provide court support and courtroom advocacy to victims at temporary and permanent protection order hearings, as well as divorce/custody and other court hearings depending upon advocate availability. 

Safety and Survival Planning:

Safety and survival orientations for victims occur during protection order clinics to provide information about dynamics of domestic violence, safety planning with or without protection orders and community resources. Advocates are also available by appointment for in-depth safety planning sessions with victims.

Phone Support:

Intervention, information, support and referrals through our advocacy line. 

Legal Advocacy and Assistance (ProtectionOrders/Divorce/Custody):

Project Safeguard advocates are available to assist victims with completion of legal forms and to educate them about and prepare them for the legal process. Weekly attorney facilitated divorce/custody clinics aid victims with these complicated family law issues.

Description: The Transgender Center of the Rockies offers competent gender-affirming individual and group counseling for trans individuals over the age of 18. Treatment is focused on providing support for substance use and mental health concerns. Our clinicians represent a diverse approach to therapy with various training and backgrounds, all grounded in trauma-informed care and through the shared experience of being queer ourselves. Clinicians work with clients to develop treatment plans in order to work towards clients goals. For payment we take Medicaid or offer a sliding scale.

Peer-led support groups are an opportunity to get together with other gender-expansive adults, socialize, form community and discuss various topics. Check our calendar for descriptions of the peer groups and meeting days/times. No payment required and all groups are for people 18 and older.
